Announcing ‘The Pendency Lab’ in partnership with CSEP
We are proud to announce the launch of The Pendency Lab, a collaborative initiative between the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) and TrustBridge Rule of Law Foundation (TrustBridge).
While judicial backlog is a well-known challenge in India, the “how” and “why” behind these delays often remain underexplored. The Pendency Lab is designed to bridge this gap. Moving beyond surface-level statistics, the Lab focuses on deep, process-level analysis to uncover the structural drivers of case delays.
Our Mission:
To cultivate a multidisciplinary network of scholars, legal practitioners, and policymakers. Together, we aim to integrate law, economics, and data science to reimagine how Indian courts function.
